1st in the line of truly OLD&GOLD...

Besides some new,fresh and upcoming music and artists that I mention and of whom I write,I also wanna refresh ya mind with some OLD&GOLD stuff...
So...first OLD&GOLD line goes to music scientists 4real...yes,they are Marc Mac&Dego aka 4Hero aka Tom and Jerry aka Jacob's Optical Stairway and of course to their label Reinforced Records.

They are known as early pioneers of breakbeat hardcore and drum and bass music, and the group obtained a Mercury Music Prize nomination for their 1998 album Two Pages. More recently, on their 2007 album, Play with the Changes, 4hero has experimented with downtempo and Nu jazz.
Mark 'Marc Mac' Clair & Dennis 'Dego' McFarlane continue to produce music as 4hero as well as a variety of other aliases they've developed over the years.
Been around since the early 1980's, Marc and Dego have influenced many styles under many monikers; from jungle to drum'n'bass, from hip-hop to techno.
They also set up many labels to reflect the scenes they were and continue to be part of: Reinforced, 2000 Black, Twisted Funk, Omniverse, and Raw Canvas Records.


And what they create from early days to know is just pure science!!!

Im a lil bit late with writing this,'cause first Svetlana release is already out now...but let this be first and introducing post about this dope new label,based in Belgrade/Serbia.From now on,you will be informed about every upcoming Svetlana's release,event,artists etc.

So...here's their story "How Svetlana came to be"...

"Svetlana comes from somewhere far away.
She successfully navigated the cross-dimensional transition into this galaxy, docked and began her
work.
The touchdown in Belgrade was not made through any specific choice, but it met the requirements
of a favourable location where the ship could be blended to the environment and there was
sufficient high-ion water to fuel the power source.
She began by assembling a local team to implement her scheme. Then, unaware of the existence of
the concept of borders, races, peoples and nations, probes were extended into the global neural
network and the job began of explaining the grand purpose and direction to the members of
humanity whose consciousness seemed to be approaching levels sufficient for trans-galactic
communication.
Over the course of more than one earth rotation the transmissions increased intensity and the
global network became operational. From the base in Belgrade, Svetlana now works with artists from
Los Angeles, London, Glasgow, Sofia, Višegrad in Bosnia, Ljubljana, Belgrade, Budapest and
Bournemouth; with designers in Stuttgart, New York, Portland OR and Mexico City; animators and
VJs in New York, Belgrade and Rome; the photos were shot by a Serb who lives in Istanbul; the logo
was painted by a man who customises motorbikes and classic cars in Sweden; and the essential
distribution channels are enabled on physical and digital formats by Cargo in London.
And what of the music? The music taps into the galactic flows to bring earth into line with
interplanetary trends and the wider interstellar scene. In this way it is not mono-stylistic; it is
marked only by its newness and strangeness to the human ear, a strangeness that has caught the
ear of FACT magazine and Mary Anne Hobbs, among others.
2010 sees the start of the next stage in Svetlana’s terrestrial plan: disseminating the music on vinyl
records. Vinyl is actually a medium known for its resistance to the rigours of space travel and
therefore highly appropriate to her project. A record floating in the inky void can survive for
millennia and is regularly exchangeable for food or oxygen when needed.
What exactly is Svetlana’s ultimate goal and why she is building this secretive but effective
international operation? This is still unclear, but we have an inkling that 2010 is going to be the
year the Svetlana comes into the open. And we have an inkling her goal has something to do with
happiness".

New D'Angelo?

I do not know what to say!!!Im amazed,if this is true...But I will keep it in some kind of reserve,'cause its just HUGEEEEEEEEE!!!
Youtube clip of song "1000deaths" is no more available,so I just gonna copy/pasty some lines about this rumours from others...

MOOVMNT:"Past Monday marked the 10th anniversary of D’Angelo’s classic “Voodoo” album. After 10 years of silence, apart from an occasional featuring here and there, one can only wonder if we’ll ever hear a full length D’Angelo album again. And while various sources reported that a lot of new material had been recorded, we hadn’t heard anything other than ?uestlove’s leak of “Really Love” a few years back. However, an unmastered version of a track called “1000 Deaths” popped up a couple of days ago. This track has been referred to as a “psychedelic-soul head trip” by ?uestlove in interviews throughout the years. Engineer & producer Russ Elevado, who worked with D’Angelo on a lot of his new material, also spoke briefly about the track in his classic Q&A’s on the Gearslutz.com forums:

the song you’re speaking of is actually called “1000 deaths”. and i don’t hear the earth, wind, fire influence. it’s more like a heavy rock/funk vibe. it would be hard for me to rate as it’s every bit of a good D’angelo song than any of his others but it’s also different. there’s some really nice guitar work from him on that song also".

?UESTLOVE:"for the record i had absolutely nothing to do with this leak. i have a version of this but this was back in 2005. this is way more developed than the version i had. so *shoulder shrug* my guess is (based on the clarity —well more clear than what i had–) this was a 2008-9 Ruff demo?”
it means that this masterpiece of a song was probably recorded even last year"!

Finally,Belgrade got his first true VINYL and cd store and I think the only one for now.There were some attempts earlier,but it wasn't enough.Or peeps didn't dig it or the vinyls were too expansive.But still there is one man aka "MY MAN" @Jat building,King Alexander Boulevard in Belgrade (and if you are from Belgrade,you will know where is at),and everytime I find some good stuff for less than 1euro.
But I can't wait to go to this store and have a chance to feel like Im in some supadope vinyl store like GP for example...
